MM 130 + MM 140: Multimedia Again...
I must like stress. During my last go around at school, I took very demanding Multimedia courses at Bradley. I did it again during the last few terms at PCC.
While at Bradley, I created a portfolio using Macromedia Director. I understood some of the code, but had help from friends and colleagues.
Looking up the class offerings now available (at Bradley), the course load looks similar to what the offerings are at PCC.

This last time around, I was fairly isolated (being a primarily Online student), but was still able to take a few courses in person. In hindsight, I wish I would have been more able to take in person classes and really get to know my professors and fellow students. This time around, I also had time to prepare my project with additional courses that helped me understand the code.
I took countless web creation courses, to gain a huge familiarity with HTML + CSS, which Edge Animate uses under the hood.
I took a couple animation courses, to gain familiarity with the application I will use to take on this ambitious project. (probably the best thing I could have done in preparation for this class.) Without this class, my resulting project wouldn't have looked nearly as polished.
One thing that stood out from my first Multimedia experience, was the feedback loop that we conducted before the project was presented to the class. Allowing other students to take a look at what we created and letting them encounter bugs was an amazing exercise. Having lived and breathed the project for so long, it was like a breath of fresh air to see what others saw and quickly make changes if needed.
I still have some debugging to do, but I'm giving myself a well deserved break from it. I will return to it with fresh eyes, better written content, and a much better understanding of what it needs to portray.
Here are a few of the pages I designed for my project:
